Collection of contaminated manure with Aminopyralid

The ACP consider that with stringent controls in place there should be no new manure available that might contain these residues. The ACP also noted that there might be gardeners and allotment holders who already have manure that might contain residues. DOW AgroSciences LTD (DAS) has set up an advisory note for allotment holders and gardeners which includes advice on the use or disposal of manure that may contain, or has been shown to contain, Aminopyralid. In addition to the advisory note, DAS has developed a simple bio-assay test which can be applied to samples of soil to see whether crops are likely to grow successfully in the soil. If Aminopyralid residues are found, the company will arrange for the manure to be removed. Details of the test and the other advice can be found on the company's website at http://www.manurematters.co.uk/. There is also an email address at ukhotline@dow.com."
