Broad Beans

Stakes or stout canes should be put along rows of broad beans, ideally when the plants are still rather young. This saves damaging any roots knocking them in at a later stage. The stakes should be just taller than the eventual height of the variety. String can be run around when the plants are a little taller to prevent any potential wind damage.
