Overview

Sweet Marjoram - Origanum majorana

The leaves of this herb are widely used in Mediterranean cookery, especially in pasta sauces, vegetable dishes and to flavour bread, oil and vinegar.

 

How to grow

H.P.-45cms /18ins needs well drained, warm soil. Good to use in pots and containers.

How to Harvest

To harvest crop the top two or three inches from each stem, this will also encourage bushy growth. Marjoram leaves can be preserved by drying or freezing in ice cubes.
