Important Information Regarding Hosepipe Usage

In order to provide clarification, we would like to inform you that, according to the current restrictions set by South East Water and South West Water, the use of hosepipes on allotments is prohibited, unless they are being used specifically for watering food crops.

This guideline falls within the framework of both councils' Water's Discretionary Exceptions policy. We understand that these restrictions may cause inconvenience, but we want to assure you that we are actively maintaining communication with both. They are continuously monitoring the situation, including the water levels in our reservoirs and rivers. The ban will be lifted as soon as these levels return to normal.

We kindly request that you review your own regulations pertaining to the use of hosepipes on your site. Additionally, we encourage you to explore alternative methods, such as harvesting rainwater, whenever feasible.

Thank you for your cooperation in adhering to these guidelines.
