Leicestershire County Council are currently in the process of carrying out a campaign to recruit Master Composter volunteers.
The role of a Master Composter is to:
- raise awareness of the benefits of composting to the community
- become an expert at composting, reduce the amount of organic waste that goes to landfill
- encourage people to compost at home and help people who compost at home already
- free training will be provided, will learn new skills and build confidence
- and this only takes 30 hours of volunteering each year
